At our house it is rare a day goes buy without some sort of arts and crafts activity, sometimes it is planned and prepped often it is not. Itâs also very common for us to have extra kids over to play and join in the fun. I am a clean and tidy freak but I can shelve those OCDâs in favour of a messy, crazy arts and craft session. Play-doh, paints, printing, building and sticking are accessible daily and my boys love getting involved.
Coming up to Christmas I try and think of a few festive activities to keep the kids amused and help the hours tick by towards Christmas day. My sister suggested some paper plate ideas that she had and we gave them a go.
Tilda was over to play with Ozzy so all four of them got creative after dinner (which was nearly as messy as the arts and craft sessionâ¦â¦) Paper plates are a great thing to have in your arts and craft box or cupboard all year round, my boys draw faces on them, stick on them, paint them, we use paper plates for LOADS of things. Around Christmas time paper plates can be transformed in minutes (or hours if your kids have a longer attention span than mine) into reindeer, snowmen, santa, wreaths, ball balls, snow scenes etc
Have look at the lovely, fun things we created using our paper plates. Simple, easy, messy, festive fun. Anna. x
