Katy Pullinger and Anna Cribb have been friends for over 10 years seeing each other through the highs and lows of life, work, family, weddings and now kids. Both have come from careers in media and entertainment, Anna as a Model and Actress and Katy as a Presenter at QVC and a Voice Over Artist. For a long time they have been trying to find the balance that everyone is after. How do you have a career and still give your family what they need? So that’s how Hey Mummy was born. Katy had been writing a lifestyle blog for a while but she knew that YouTube was the way forward and that her experience in television could really help her to start something that could combine their lives as parents with a potentially great online project. She convinced Anna to join in on the fun and now they are fully fledged Youtubers!
Hey Mummy aims to share the knowledge and experiences, via their You Tube Channel, of both Anna and Katy and the friends who are willing to tell their stories too. They will talk about anything from pregnancy through to the teenage years including how and why you got there, be it IVF, natural pregnancy or adoption. Anna has 3 gorgeous boys aged 5, 8 and 10 who as you can imagine challenge her energy every day and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Katy has a 4 year old girl that takes the old adage of sugar and spice and turns it on it’s head, who said girls sit still and quietly? Come on who was it?! She also has a toddler girl who is 17 months and is another wild child.
Parenting is overwhelming at times and there are pages and pages online of medical websites, books coming out of your ears and information overload from ‘experts’ that can all seem a bit much. But the one thing that has always helped Anna and Katy through these challenges is the advice of others. Friends, family and even the random people you meet at play centres often have the best tips to help you over the next obstacle. This is the knowledge that Hey Mummy will be sharing, along with their opinions on the latest from the world of parenting and also the things that didn’t work for them. This is not about telling other people how to raise their kids, this is just telling people how we did it. If it helps others then that’s blooming marvellous.
